Abandoned Exoskeleton of a Cicada
After 17 years undeground, a cicada nymph emerged to undergo molting process and transition to an adult cicada to breed. It climbed a fern leaf and shed its exoskeleton. The exoskeleton called "exuviae". #BroodIX
Cicadas Emerging After 17 Years Underground
The insects spend the majority of their lives underground, in a nymph state. The emergence time is different for different species but the nymphs of this species emerge from the ground in the spring of the 17th year and transition to mature cicadas, ready to breed.
The 17-year life cycle of this periodical cicada species makes it one of the longest-lived insects. #BroodIX

Muffler Man - Indian, Crystal Lake, IL
One of the many American Giants - a Muffler Man located in Crystal Lake, Ilinois.
Now in short about Muffler Men. They are giant fiberglass sculptures used as "attention grabbers". Many of these figures were used to promote various roadside businesses and often would hold real merchandise, like full-sized car mufflers, which, as I understand, was the reason for the Muffler Men nickname.
The figures are usually 18–25 feet (5.5-7.6 meters) tall. Muffler Men were a popular roadside decoration in 60's and 70's mainly in the United States.

Striped Searobin (Prionotus Evolans)
This is a Striped Searobin (Prionotus Evolans) from the Triglidae family, commonly known as sea robins or gurnards.
Here are a few interesting things about sea robins. They make a croaking sound similar to a toad. Their skulls are fully armored and they have spines everywhere. They have spiny "legs" but they are not for walking. The "legs" are sensory organ used to search for food on the bottom. And look at these pectoral fins that look like wings.
How to catch: Sometimes you wish you knew how to not catch them. Striped Sea robins will take any bait and virtually any hook size.
