Monotropa Uniflora

Monotropa Uniflora

This is Monotropa uniflora, also known as the ghost plant, corpse plant, or Indian pipe. Sometimes people think that it is a mushroom that looks like a flower, but it is not a fungus. It is a parasitic plant that does not contain chlorophyll and does not need sunlight to generate energy. It lives off fungi and trees.
